MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 3, 2016) – Dale Earnhardt Jr. and fiancée Amy Reimann were married New Year’s Eve in a formal, traditional wedding held at the Childress Winery in Lexington, N.C., surrounded by a large gathering of friends and family.
Flanked by best man T.J. Majors, with Motor Racing Outreach’s Nick Terry as the officiant, Earnhardt Jr. and Reimann exchanged vows in a 30-minute ceremony, which took place on the winery’s property. Dale Jr. wore a traditional black formal tuxedo, while Amy wore a stunning gown of white lace.
The groom, who has a self-proclaimed jewelry phobia, opted for a specially-crafted wooden band during the formal exchange of rings. Monday morning, Earnhardt Jr. posted a photo on Instagram of the silicone ring he intends to wear on a regular basis.
Following the ceremony, the reception built its way toward the end of 2016 and beginning of the happy couple’s first year of marital bliss. In addition to Kyle and Samantha Busch, other NASCAR notables attending the nuptials included Rick Hendrick, Richard Childress, Mike Helton, the entire Hendrick Motorsports No. 88 team, Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer, Martin Truex Jr., Casey Mears, Ryan Blaney, Bubba Wallace, Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and JRM Late Model driver Josh Berry, among others.
The Earnhardt family was represented by sister Kelley and her husband L.W. Miller, along with their children Karsyn, Kennedy and Wyatt. Dale and Kelley’s mother Brenda Jackson and her husband Willie were in attendance along with both Tony “Pops” Eury Sr. and Tony Eury Jr.
Once the ceremony was over, the traditional bouquet toss saw Patrick catch the flowers, much to the delight of those assembled. The band brought in to play the revelers toward the new year, the Party Crashers out of Utah, was quite good, and the party lasted until the wee hours.
Below is a sample of the comments from the happy couple and some of the attendees. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
