MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 1, 2018) – The Earnhardt clan has expanded by one, as Isla Rose Earnhardt entered the world late last night to much fanfare and best wishes from all of JR Nation. The first child of Dale and Amy Earnhardt was born Monday night, and both mother and daughter are doing well.
Mom Amy’s original due date was May 2, so you’ll pardon young Miss Isla Rose for being a bit...impatient. She missed sharing a birthday with her paternal grandfather, Dale Earnhardt Sr. by one day.
The newborn Isla Rose has been the topic of discussion for many months, and now that she has arrived, the next chapter of the third-generation driver and his family’s life will commence.
As you would expect, the outpouring of congratulations threatened to overwhelm social media. The messages of congratulations, including the video below, were impressive in scope as well as number, too.
